Who we are
Blood Pressure Log is published by Trie Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). For anything in this policy, write to contact@trietech.io.
Information stored on your device
Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your phone:
- Readings — systolic and diastolic pressure, optional pulse rate, the date and time, and any notes you add.
- Settings — whether you have purchased the ad-free upgrade, and your ad-consent choices where applicable.
- Backup files — if you use Backup, the app writes a JSON file of your readings to its documents folder on the device. It is not uploaded anywhere. If you choose Share or Export, the file or CSV goes only to the app or person you pick in your phone's share sheet.
We have no server that holds your readings and no way to see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
Information that leaves your device
The app includes a small number of third-party services. None of them receive your blood pressure readings.
Google Firebase — analytics, crash reports, performance
Firebase Analytics records that the app was opened and which screens or features were used (for example “chart viewed” or “export”), together with device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country derived from your IP address. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash traces and device state when the app fails, and Firebase Performance Monitoring measures app start-up and network timing. These services use a randomly generated app-instance identifier, not your name or any reading. Google acts as our processor and retains crash reports for 90 days and analytics data for up to 14 months; aggregated statistics may be kept longer. Firebase privacy.
Google AdMob — banner ads (free version only)
Ads are requested in non-personalized mode: they are chosen from context, not from a profile of you, and the app never asks for cross-app tracking permission. To serve and secure ads, Google may still receive your IP address, device information, and your device's advertising identifier for fraud prevention and frequency capping. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent message before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad privacy options. Apple App Store and Google Play — the ad-free purchase
The one-time “Remove Ads” purchase is handled by Apple or Google. They process your payment under their own privacy policies; we never see card details. The app receives a purchase confirmation so it can unlock the ad-free experience and restore it on a new device.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in, email address, or name is required or collected.
- No access to Apple Health, Google Health Connect, contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
- No personalized advertising and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- No sale of personal information, and no sharing beyond the services above.
Your choices
- Remove ads — the one-time purchase in Settings stops all ad requests.
- Ad consent — where the consent message applies, reopen it from Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Your readings — edit or delete any reading in the app; uninstalling removes everything the app stored.
- Usage & crash reports — turn off Settings → Share usage & crash reports to stop analytics, crash, and performance data from being sent. It is on by default. Uninstalling also stops collection immediately. To have data already associated with your app instance deleted, email us and we will request deletion from Google.
Retention and security
Readings remain on your device until you delete them or the app. Data sent to Google travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is kept for the periods described above. On-device data is protected by your phone's own security — use a passcode or biometric lock, and be aware that backup files you share are only as private as where you send them.
International transfers
The Google services above may process data on servers in the United States and other countries. Google participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and offers standard contractual clauses for such transfers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information about you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because your readings never reach us, most of these rights are exercised directly in the app. For the analytics and crash data described above, email contact@trietech.io and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Blood Pressure Log is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Not medical advice
The app helps you record and visualize readings and shows the American Heart Association's blood pressure categories for reference. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. Always consult a healthcare professional about your readings.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects or how, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app store release notes.
